Our Executive Council had their first meeting on 13 September. All council members were present and several important decisions were made. Here is a brief summary:

1. Work on the new website should begin immediately. Domain name www.unorchestrany.org will be registered.

2. An announcement will be prepared to invite musicians to join. It will go to the iSeek, UNDP Intranet, as well as any other internal distribution systems within the international community in New York. Flyers will also be prepared to be placed at some strategic locations throughout the UN complex during the first weeks of the General Assembly.

3. A first rehearsal is scheduled for Tuesday, 4 October 2011. The venue will be announced later.

4. The council will meet again to determine details regarding the first rehearsal (place, time, programme).
